Well-known luxury country house, Tinakilly House, Co Wicklow has launched a new website (www.tinakilly.ie). The house was built for Captain Halpin, the man who was instrumental in laying the world's telegraph cables in the 1860s to open up the world of telecommunications. Now the Tinakilly website hopes to carry this forward-looking approach into its website by featuring innovative technologies.
Using IPIX video sequences, the visitor can view Tinakilly's entrance hall and the captain's suite. There is also an option to zoom in on areas of interest, including the Murillo copy over the marble fireplace in the entrance hall, and the detail on the plasterwork.
