Torc Telecom has launched Ireland's first international call shop in Dublin's Temple Bar. Torc specialises in pre-paid call cards.

The company plans to open a number of international call shops throughout Europe.

Torc says it offers savings of up to 60 per cent on calls to 250 countries worldwide on international and national payphone charges, and up to 80 per cent on hotel charges. Torc says it is particularly appealing to the tourist market.
