Irish travel software firm Datalex has appointed Aidan Brogan as its interim chief executive officer following the resignation of Cormac Whelan from the post.
Mr Brogan is currently the senior vice president of sales at the company, having joined Datalex in 1994. He previously held a number of positions with Westinghouse in its airline and travel business in the Middle East.
In a statement today, the company said Mr Whelan was leaving the chief executive post "by mutual and amicable agreement". He will stay on until the end of July to assist the company in the transition.
Mr Whelan has been chief executive at the company since 2004.
Datalex expects a number of new customers, including Delta Airlines, Westjet, Malaysian Airlines and Garuda of Indonesia, to go live in the coming months and thus begin generating transaction revenue. It also indicated that its new business pipeline remains strong.
