Pre-tax losses at Irish private equity group Claret Capital last year narrowed to €737,837, new figures show. Claret was established by financier Dómhnal Slattery who has since, in a separate venture, led aircraft leasing firm Avolon to raise $4 billion in equity and debt.
The latest returns for Claret Capital Ltd show that revenues last year fell by 34 per cent from €508,585 to €335,409 in the 12 months to the end of December last. Pre-tax losses, however, were reduced by almost €3 million from €3.7 million to €737,837.
Underlining the radical downsizing of the operation, the company now employs only one person compared to 14 in 2009.
