Irish hotel booking website makes world your oyster
HYHO HOTELS, an Irish-owned company, has launched a new site for hotel bookings with 120,000 hotels around the world. No credit card fees are charged and payment is taken seven days in advance of the booking.
So confident is it of its rates, it also shows prices on comparative booking websites, allowing people to book the lowest price. Where available, it also shows the Tripadvisor reviews of hotels.
Travellers will be able to reduce the number of sites searched when looking for the best price. Recent rates include the Hilton Park Lane London for €263, W Times Square New York for €235 and Ritz Carlton Beijing for €207.
Hyhohotels.comwill also be offering sim cards and telephones, insurance, currency, event tickets and visas in the next stage of its development.
Lufthansa takes more passengers under its wings
GERMAN CARRIER Lufthansa had a record-breaking year on its Dublin routes with 299,906 passengers carried in and out of Ireland.
It will expand services for the summer season with flights weekly from Dublin to Munich and twice weekly to Düsseldorf.

British Airways offers triple air miles before end of March
BRITISH AIRWAYS executive club members can earn triple “Avios” (air miles) on Club World and First flights from Heathrow to Jeddah, Cairo, Delhi, Toronto, Calgary, Atlanta, New York Newark, Boston, Chicago and Bangkok until March 31st.
Triple Avios are also available on American Airlines flights from Manchester to New York JFK and Chicago.
You must pre-register on the BA site before booking your flights. This offer is valid for up to four return flights in the next six weeks.
Blue level members can earn 31,122 Avios on flights to Newark and silver level members 51,870.
