Toyota said it would begin assembly at all of its factories in Japan between April 18th and 27th at a rate of about 50 per cent of initial plans.
The world's biggest carmaker said it would decide on production plans beyond April 27th while monitoring the flow of parts supply, which was disrupted by the massive earthquake on March 11th.
Toyota had halted assembly at all but two of the 18 group-wide domestic factories that make Toyota and Lexus cars since the quake.
