The Irish telecommunications company, Stentor, has appointed Mr John Uttley as non-executive chairman.
Mr Uttley is a former finance director of the British National Grid and was heavily involved in its flotation.
He is a director of several small companies and was a non-executive director of the Connections Group prior to its sale to World Telecom.
IBI Corporate Finance has appointed three associate directors of the company. Mr Mark O'Meara joined IBI from Ernst & Young in 1995 and was an adviser on the flotations of Ryanair and Bank of Ireland.
Mr Conor Sheahan joined the company in 1994 from Simpson Xavier and is a member of IBI's private company unit.
Mr Mark Spain left IBI in 1997 and joined the London based corporate finance department of United Distillers. He re-joined last September.
Mr Alan Osborne becomes a recruitment consultant with Osborne Recruitment. He will be responsible for the financial and banking sectors.
The hairdressing group, Peter Mark, has made two senior appointments. Mr Liam Kennedy becomes operations manager, while Mr Gary Kavanagh becomes director of training.
Ms Maria Archer and Mr Jack Gillan have been appointed to the board of Arks Advertising.
Mr Gillan is the director of creative strategy and previously worked with McConnells, Irish International, Saatchi & Saatchi and Bates Ireland.
Ms Archer joined the company from Saatchi & Saatchi (Middle East) in February 1996.
Mr Michael Webb, the managing director of Patterson Kempster & Shorthall, the chartered quantity surveyors, has become president of CEEC, the European body for quantity surveyors and construction economists.
Panorama Holiday Group has appointed Ms Jane Ferrie as human resources manager, Ms Leila Giglione as agency sales executive and Mr Nigel Fox as marketing executive.
