THE MICHAEL Smurfit Graduate Business School at UCD has been ranked 19th in Europe and 61st in the world by the Financial Times ranking of the world's top 100 executive part-time MBA programmes.
The ranking lists the school as the only Irish business school among the top 100 business schools in the world, up from 88th place in 2007.
This year, the school has also been ranked 16th in Europe and 40th in the world by the Economist Intelligence Unit's ranking of the world's top 100 full-time MBA programmes and 38th in the world by the Financial Times master's in management ranking.
Results for the executive MBA programme at UCD Smurfit School reveal an increase in average salaries of 73 per cent in the three years after graduation.
Prof Tom Begley, the dean of UCD Smurfit School, commented on the results yesterday, saying: "We are delighted to be the only Irish business school ranked in the top 100 in the world by the Financial Times."
As part of its international strategy, the school has pursued a policy of benchmarking itself against the best business schools globally over the last 10 years, Prof Begley said.
