Family money carried a story on March 2nd about the new uniform tax relief scheme for charitable donations announced in the Finance Bill. The story was entitled "Tax changes likely to boost donations to charities".

The Irish Charities Tax Reform Group welcomed the streamlining of the tax code for donations but the domain name ending of the group's website was incorrect.

A list of more than 360 registered charities is available at the site www.charitytax reform.com, rather than .ie. The minimum donation that can attract relief will be £250 (P318) and the relief is available at the taxpayer's marginal rate of tax.
