A new website, tailored for schools seeking to examine European issues, was launched this week. The site - www.youngeuropeans.com - will also provide a mechanism to allow students to vote online for their preferred MEP candidates in the European Elections next Friday, May 14th. The real European elections take place on June 11th.
The website takes students through the 15 memberstates of the EU, the states seeking membership, EU institutions, local projects funded in their region and information on the candidates going forward for election to the European parliament.
The project is run by the Carrefour and Info-Point Europe networks here and is part funded by the European Commission.
