The 1997/98 Young Business Writers award will offer prizes of £1,000 for the overall winner of the third-level competition and £750 for the winner among second-level students. The awards are being sponsored by Coopers & Lybrand accountants and McCann Fitzgerald solicitors, organised by Dublin City University and supported by The Irish Times.
Studets can submit essays of 1,000 words on a number of topics relating to management and business. As well as the prizes for the overall winners, there is a prize of £500 for the runner-up in the third-level section and three £250 prizes for highly commended essays and a £300 runner-up prize in the second-level section, with three £100 prizes for highly commended entries.
