A man arrested in connection with this investigation into the murder of Adnan Asic has been released without charge on Wednesday morning.
The man (40s) had been arrested by gardaí on Tuesday and questioned in relation to the incident in October 2022 but has since been released. A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Adnan Asic (60) was originally from Bosnia and had lived in Ireland for over 30 years.
Mr Asic was attacked in the early hours of Saturday, October 22nd, 2022, as he was walking home after a night out socialising in Blanchardstown, Dublin.

Gardaí believe that Mr Asic, who has been described as a vulnerable individual, was violently assaulted just after 2.30pm as he was walking towards Blanchardstown Road North from Blanchardstown Shopping Centre. Mr Asic was treated at the scene by paramedics before being take to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown, he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Gardaí in Blanchardstown investigating his death have gathered CCTV from the area around the busy junction where Mr Asic was found.
