Housed in the Wooden Building, Exchange Street Upper, the Olivier Cornet Gallery is the latest addition to Temple Bar’s thriving visual art scene. The gallery’s current show, Convergence, features paintings and prints from artists including David Begley, Jodi Forniés, Adrienne Symes and Yanny Petters.
Originally from France, art agent and curator Cornet has lived in Ireland since 1995. He has lots of plans for the space, including giving one young graduate the opportunity to curate a show in the gallery this summer through a Visiting Curator Award (submission is open).
Cornet is happy to offer would-be buyers advice, and prices start at an affordable €180 for delicate, intricate prints by Wexford-based Hanneke van Ryswyk. The one pictured here is called Arch Night. See oliviercornetgallery.com.
