Gallery crawlers will want to drop in today or tomorrow to Margaret Egan’s inspiring exhibition at 15 St Stephen’s Green, Dublin 2. Egan received a traditional painterly training at the National College of Art Design in the 1960s, then became assistant to the Breton sculptor Yann Goulet RHA for 10 years, while she developed her own style.
Also a gifted sculptor, Egan lives and works at her studio near Dún Laoghaire, Co Dublin, where the view from the windows has inspired her atmospheric moody seascapes. A selection of figurative bronzes are included in the exhibition. Pictured is Mystery Echoing, acrylic on linen. See solomonfineart.ie.
