A complete sell-out was reported by John Ross & Co of Belfast for the recent auction of Maurice Wilks's studio contents. All 285 lots found buyers, with the eventual total topping £80,000. Only a handful of oils were included in the sale, with one of these - a view of Roundstone - making £4,800. Best price for a watercolour was £3,100 for a cottage interior, while a study of a man's feet made £820, the top figure for a pencil drawing.
