Organisers of the Red Bull Music Academy have thrown open their doors to applicants interested in taking part in this year’s event. The Academy is an international musical workshop that invites 60 musicians, producers and DJs from around the world to mingle with their colleagues in a selected European city.

The next international gathering will take place in London in 2010. Workshops in Dublin and Belfast will run in June, though attendance at either is not mandatory for interested parties, who can apply to the scheme by visiting www.redbullmusic academy.com and downloading the form before July 27th.

Last year, techno/ electronica musicians Niall “Mano le Tough” Mannion and Ruairi Donohue were selected to travel to Barcelona for the Academy’s ever-changing location, and both will play at Spain’s Sonar Festival, as well Oxegen, this summer.
