Here's what you get when two local electronic music crews put their heads together. Ellen Allien (below) is the Berliner behind the Bpitch Control label, which has been on the go since 1999 and is home to the likes of Modeselektor and excellent Italian newcomers We Love. Allien also continues to DJ, produce (she's on the road to plug her new album, Dust) and run a fashion line.

Allien is joined here by Scottish producer Alex Smoke, who is probably best known for his association with the Soma label, which released his Incommunicadoand Paradoliaalbums. Smoke's most recent releases have come via his Hum+Haw imprint, including this year's Lux, a dark, dense, dramatic techno work.

Local flavour is provided by Al Keegan while Big Dish Go and Surge resume their alliance on October 22nd with Oscar Mulero and Al Tourettes.
