NELLY Et M. Arnaud, the compelling new film by Un Coeur En Hiver director Claude Sautet, leads the nominations in France's annual film awards, the Cesars, with 11 including best picture and director.

Now on release in Dublin, Jean Paul Rappeneau's The Horseman On The Roof received 10 nominations and Mathieu Kassovitz's La Haine, also got 10, with its three young stars (Vincent Cassel, Hubert Kounde and Said Taghmaoui) all on the short list for best male newcomer.
