A SET of 10 Chippendale-style dining chairs with upholstered seats made the highest price of £3,000 at the most recent sale held by Mullens of Laurel Park. An Irish Georgian mahogany bureau, dating from circa 1770, sold for £1,700; a 19th century French kingwood cabinet fetched £1,550; and a set of William IV mahogany dining chairs, circa 1835, sold for £1,500, which was also the price made by a set of nine Victorian mahogany balloon back dining chairs.
Both an art deco-style amber glass lamp and shade and an Edwardian rosewood cylinder lady's desk went for £1,400, while a William IV mahogany wardrobe fetched £1,300 and a pair of 20th century Waterford chandeliers sold for £1,250.
