Stay:With more than 30 houses at Woodside Holiday Homes, a short walk from the harbour, there's plenty of room for groups.

Eat:Out of the Blue is the most recommended restaurant, although there's a much better selection in nearby Gorey. Green's Berry Farm on the road between the towns does fine desserts.

See:For something different, it's well worth taking a drive to the Old Bawn beach at Newtown, where a wind farm dominates the dunes. The kids will be wowed.

Do:Between the local forest walks and the coastal paths, there's plenty of walking. It's well worth cooling off in the Blue Flag waters, and topping it off with an ice cream from the harbour kiosk.
