In one of the last auction sales of the year, James Adams will be selling off almost the entire contents of writer Polly Devlin's Dublin 4 townhouse on December 15th. The house, at Waterloo Road, was recently sold at auction and around 400 lots of furniture, soft furnishings and objets will be offered for sale.
A passionate collector of beautiful things, Polly Devlin created a wonderful English country-style interior for the house, with fine mahogany furniture and luxurious, soft furnishings. The sale will include chairs, cabinets, stools, sofas and armchairs and a plethora of ornaments.
It is bound to generate a good deal of interest among private buyers seeking attractive decorative items.
