A report in yesterday's editions on reductions in postal charges stated that this Christmas would be the last time that people could save money by posting cards in unsealed envelopes. A statement from An Post points out that, after April 6th 1998, when the new lower rates are introduced, Christmas and St Patrick's Day cards will still be regarded as "social mail" and will continue to be the subject of special reduced price offers from An Post.
A report headed "Youth group seen as cutting edge of the antiabortion cause" stated that Mr Peter Scully was a co-founder of Youth Defence. He was not, he was an ordinary member.
A feature on the Cathedral of the Assumption, Carlow, in yesterday's Property supplement incorrectly included a photograph of St Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin. The mistake arose because of an editing error. Two captions in the same supplement relating to mews properties, in Heytesbury-Wellington Lane, Ballsbridge, and Blooms Lodge, Sandycove Close, were transposed.
