The sub-heading to Conor O'Clery's interview with Eurico Guterres in some of yesterday's early editions said Guterres was the leader of a pro-independence militia in East Timor. He is in fact leader of a pro-Indonesian militia. The error occurred in the editing process.
In the election results for Urban District Councils in yesterday's editions, Mr Joe Feery, Labour, who was elected to Tullamore UDC, was incorrectly designated Sinn Fein.
A spokesman for Republican Sinn Fein points out that the following county council candidates, who were listed in our results as Independents, were in fact RSF candidates: Joe O'Neill, Donegal; Tomas O Curraoin, Galway; Des Long, Limerick; Sean Lynch, Longford.
