The Loose Leaves column in last Saturday's Weekend supplement said Tadhg O Dushlaine had been appointed as writer-in-residence at the Munster Literature Centre "in association with Cork County Council". This should have read Cork Corporation.

The letter headed "Home v Hospital Birth" in yesterday's editions referred to a survey by Margaret Tew of Nottingham University Medical School. The survey was conducted on the perinatal death rate in the Netherlands, not the prenatal death rate as stated.
