Due to popular demand, Sustainable Energy Ireland (SEI) has extended the registration deadline for its new cross-Border photography competition on climate change.
Prizes include a PC equipped with digital camera, camera phones, digital cameras and camera equipment. Secondary school students across Ireland can now register for the competition until Friday, February 27th. The closing date for entries is Friday, March 19th. Visit www.sei.ie for more information.
The embassy of Greece in Ireland, with the Athens Olympic Games looming later this year, invites all Transition Year students to participate in a competition by submitting an illustrated essay entitled 'The Olympic Spirit -- Past, Present and Future'.
The first prize is a trip for two to the Athens Olympics 2004, including return flights from Dublin to Greece, accommodation for five nights during the Games, and tickets to Olympic events.
There will also be generous second and third prizes, and the winners' schools will be rewarded at the prize-giving ceremony.
