Burton’s dog for London

The London Film Festival will be with us in just over a month

The London Film Festival will be with us in just over a month. The first snippet from the programme alerts us that Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie, the tale of a boy who re-animates his dog, is to open this year’s incarnation of the grand old event. Burton’s first full-length animation for Disney, the picture is an extension of a short film – also made with the Mouse House – that the young Tim knocked together back in 1984. The 56th BFI London Film Festival runs from October 10th until October 21st.
