Clones fest won’t be duplicated

The 2011 jamboree kicks off on Wednesday with a tribute to the town's most famous son. In Sunshine and in Shadowdocuments the well- remembered 1985 title bout between Barry McGuigan and Eusebio Pedroza. The great man will be in attendance.

Other highlights include a conversation between Pat McCabe, honorary patron, and Paddy Treacy, retired projectionist of Clones's Luxor Cinema. The festival is also to screen the new Irish feature A Kiss for Jed Woodand will unearth I See a Dark Stranger(1946), the first feature ever unspooled in the town. Imaginative stuff.
