REEL NEWS:More festival news. The Kerry Film Festival kicks off tomorrow at various venues throughout the Kingdom. As ever, the organisers have knocked together a busy array of exciting fare.

Acknowledging Halloween, there will be a screening of James Whale's indestructible Frankenstein. Local hero John B Keane is to receive a tribute. There will be (pardon us) plenty of Kerry dancing at the unspooling of Sé Merry Doyle's impressive documentary Dreaming the Quiet Man. This year's guest of honour and recipient of the Maureen O'Hara award is the great Fionnula Flanagan.
