The troubled Edinburgh International Film Festival has announced some highlights.

Among the films being unveiled next month is Weekender, the latest from Irish director Karl Golden. Golden's film, a study of the 1990s Ibiza rave scene, stars young Jack O'Connell of E4's Skins.The festival will also stage the premiere of the first film directed by veteran playwright David Hare in close to 20 years. Hare's Page Eightstars Bill Nighy, Rachel Weisz and Michael Gambon in a drama examining the current state of the British intelligence services. The event kicks off on June 15th. edfilmfest.org.uk
