Few films have inspired so many pastiches and tributes as has the 1939 version of The Wizard of Oz.Now it transpires that Drew Barrymore is to direct something a little like a sequel to the great picture. Can it be a coincidence that Surrender Dorothy,as the project is provisionally called, received the green light so soon after Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, another quasi-sequel to a children's classic, ate the world's box office alive?
