Gary Oldman will play James Connolly in an upcoming film about the 1916 rebellion. Jason Barry, the cheeky Irish bloke from Titanic, is set to direct the star-laden Easter Sixteen, which begins shooting next April. It will also feature Ian Hart as Thomas Clarke and Guy Pearce as (you're way ahead of us) Patrick Pearse.

Hmm? Hart and Pearce make sense, but Oldman couldn’t look less like Mr Connolly. Anyway, it sounds like an interesting project.
