The Academy has announced who is to receive the next batch of honorary Oscars. This year’s distinguished professionals will be actor Eli Wallach, archivist Kevin Brownlow and perennial enfant terrible Jean-Luc Godard.

Sadly, Godard, who has not been well, has so far proved impossible to contact. Let’s hope the great man gets the message and turns up.
