Risteard Ó Domhnaill's The Pipe, that fine documentary on the Corrib gas controversy, continues to gather prizes. Last week the film picked up the environmental award at the Reykjavik International Film Festival. The reliably chatty Ó Domhnaill took the opportunity to congratulate the people of Iceland for "standing up to the politicians and private interests who brought their country to the brink of economic disaster due to their greed and arrogance".
