Two Irish features have been added to the programme for the upcoming Edinburgh Film Festival.
John Michael McDonagh’s
The Guard,
which picked up US distribution at Sundance, will open the festival on June 15th. A raucous, profane thriller, the film stars Brendan Gleeson as a garda, based in Galway, who gets on the wrong side of Don Cheadle’s visiting FBI agent. Paul Fraser’s
