Plans for a floating restaurant and bar on the River Lagan in Belfast could be sunk by a legal challenge about planning permission. A rowing enthusiast, Ms Oonagh Nelson, of nearby Annadale Flats, is seeking a judicial review of the decision by the Department of the Environment giving the venture the go ahead.

A Belfast company, TKS Consultants, of College Square East, plans to operate the floating bar from a mooring at Stranmillis Embankment.

Mr Justice Kerr adjourned the application until January.
