Fighter bomber's compass at castle
A second World War fighter bomber's compass in its original case and a deputy lord lieutenant's hat - complete with metal box - are just two of the items which will be on offer at the Dublin Castle antiques and collectables fair tomorrow. There will also be a selection of long-case grandfather clocks, dating from the Victorian era and presented by specialist clock dealer, Jonathan Beech. The fair starts at 10.30 a.m.
Dun Laoghaire for all kinds of toys
A toy and train fair is being held at the Rochestown Lodge Hotel in Dun Laoghaire tomorrow opening at 11 a.m. Two rooms will be set aside for the occasion, which will have plenty of toys of all kinds, including die-cast models by Corgi and Dinky, Meccano and Bayko construction sets, British lead soldiers and trains by Hornby, Triang, Trix and Marklin.
Teapoy, military chest top offers
Furniture and fine art will be a feature of tomorrow's antiques fair at the Royal Marine Hotel, Dun Laoghaire. Items of particular interest include an early 19th century mahogany military chest, with fitted secretaire drawer, and an Irish Regency sarcophagus-shaped mahogany teapoy. The fair opens at 11 a.m.
