THE fir antiques and collectables fair this year in the Royal Marine Hotel, Dun Laoghaire, takes place tomorrow, with doors opening at 11 a.m. Some 40 dealers will be exhibiting and thanks to the size of venue a greater amount of furniture will be on show than is usually the case, including Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian pieces.

Among these items is a marquetry inlaid bookcase, a Victorian mahogany card table, a hall-stand and a chest of drawers from the same period, an Edwardian three-piece parlour suite, a number of antique brass beds and some pine washstands. There is also plenty of jewellery, procelain, linen and lace, silver, coins and banknotes.
