Ah, grasshopper, you may think you know the ways of the

Fruit Ninja

, but the name of the game doesn't do it justice. Already a huge App Store hit in its earlier form,

Fruit Ninja: Version 1.3

is the same beloved game with some welcome extras.

The Fruit Ninjagames are ingenious in their simplicity. As pieces of fruit bounce up into view, you slash them by swiping your finger across the screen. Let too much fruit fall, and it's game over. Oh, and don't swipe any of those bombs either.

The new Fruit Ninjaoffers more backgrounds, more options and (yes) more varieties of fruit. Anyone who's had a bitter encounter with a lemon will be pleased to see the yellow citrus fall under their blade.

Remember, as an old Oriental proverb didn't say: master the blade and you will conquer the fruit.
