Slapstick and grace get equal billing in this retro 2D beat-'em-up. Invincible Tiger sees Han Tao, martial arts master, dragged out of retirement and into adventure. The plot matters little; it's all about the gameplay. Fight your enemies (including teleporting ninjas and living statues) by any means necessary. Kick objects into enemies' faces and swing from poles and beams to enhance those blows. Invincible Tiger rewards quick reflexes in the traditional dodge/counter routine of a fight, and if you time it just right the enemies accidently hit each other. There are nods to old martial arts movies, including a funky score and onscreen scratches to mimic old film reel, but it can be played in 3D-TV mode as well. Invincible Tiger might be primitive and repetitive for modern beat-'em-up fans, but it's funny and peppy enough to certainly warrant the low price.
