Warhammeris more ubiquitous than you might think: apart from the board games, MMO, literature and (gulp) fan fiction, this elaborate universe now offers a more traditional third-person shooter.
Warhammer 40,000: Kill Teamevokes a number of 1990s arcade games, especially the great Smash TV, from which it borrows a control system (one stick for walking, the other for firing your gun). The object is to infiltrate an enemy spaceship and destroy it from within. There's also a co-op multiplayer option in which you share resources such as health and weapons. It's not a pretty game. The ship, all rust, cogs and furnaces, is the dankest interior you'll see this side of Moe's Tavern. And it's a bit one-note, as you mill through wave after wave of angry orcs. But it is very playable and perfect for bloody, bite-sized thrills.
