I used to wonder what it would be like,

To drop an E and dance all night.

To feel it flowing thru' your veins

Or the adrenalin rush to your brain.

I know now what the buzz is like

To bop and bounce around all night

But then the buzz gets weak and poor

And you end up needing more and more

Now I wonder what it's like

To live a happy drug-free life

To have a high without a pill

Or wake up early and not feel ill.

My life is nothing like before

My mind is never there no more.

Time just seems to pass me by

I can't keep up even though I try.

I hope one day I'll get it right

I hope one day I can get high on life.
