An imposing Victorian slate-top walnut breakfront cabinet, with cupboard doors inlaid with marble, is expected to be the top selling lot at Adams of Blackrock next Tuesday. It has an estimate of £3,000-£5,000.
Also in the sale are: a Victorian mahogany extending dining table, with three extra leaves, estimate, £3,000-£4,000; a George III Dublin made longcase clock, £2,000-£3,000; and a Georgian mahogany slope-front bookcase, £1,000-£2,000.
Further down the price scale there is a good selection of silver, porcelain and miniatures, as well as a collection of George IV silhouettes, which could fetch up to £200 each. Unusually, there is a large collection of French wine on offer, with cases of 1995 Fleurie, for example, estimated at £80 each.
