A sale of oil paintings and watercolours being conducted by Christie's in Edinburgh later this month contains a number of lots of specific Irish interest. Seven pictures include an oil by Sir John Lavery called The Ferry, Rabat, dating from 1920 and carrying an estimate of £8,000-£12,000, and a view of Ruskig, Glenveagh, Co Donegal by James Humbert Craig (£1,500-£2,000).
In addition, there are five works by Daniel O'Neill, among them High Wind (£3,000-£5,000), Waiting (£2,500-£3,500) and Early Morning, Rathmullen, Co Donegal (£3,000-£5,000). The sale takes place at the Prestonfield House Hotel, Edinburgh, on Wednesday, November 26th.
