The autumn sale season appears to be getting under way next week, beginning on Monday morning with an auction at Thomas P. Adams of Blackrock, Co Dublin. A very wide range of items are included in this event, such as a Georgian gilt convex mirror (£800-£1,200) and four large Victorian gilt-framed over-mantles (£700-£900). Among the lots of furniture is a pair of Irish George III mahogany turf buckets (£2,500-£3,000), a Regency-style rosewood, breakfront, four-door side cabinet (£1,500-£2,000) and a mahogany hunt table, some 10 feet long (£800-£1,200). Glassware includes two Waterford crystal five-arm chandeliers (£1,200-£1,800) and a mid-19th century, mahogany-cased long-case clock by William Taylor (£800-£1,200).
