If you believe the New York Post(and, for the purposes of this column, we do), the surviving family of Frank Sinatra – in particular daughter Tina – are upset at the direction Martin Scorsese's proposed biopic of the late singer is taking.
“Marty wants it to be hard-hitting, and showcase the violent, sexually charged, hard-drinking Frank,” a (hem, hem) source told the newspaper. “But Tina wants to show the softer side of her dad and let the focus be on the music.”
What about casting of Ol’ Blue Eyes? The story suggests that Scorsese wants Leonardo DiCaprio (too cherubic, surely), Tina wants George Clooney (too Irish), and the studio favours Johnny Depp (that’s more like it).
