A WILLIAM IV mahogany davenport was the top selling lot at Thomas Adams' sale in Blackrock last Tuesday. It made £1,450 under the hammer. An early 20th century oval Irish mirror, with blue and clear glass studs, sold for £1,400, and a Chippendale revival mahogany dining table also made that price. A 19th century continental, walnut, eight tune music box was the surprise lot of the day, making £1,350, well above its estimate. An Edwardian satinwood bonheur de jour also made £1,350. Six Victorian balloon back dining chairs fetched £1,050 and a George IV mahogany D end dining table sold for £1,000.
