It's remarkable what a few collaborations can do for a band's profile and self-esteem. Hardly anybody appreciated this Swedish band's previous brace of albums, but that's all changed for Little Dragon on the back of their appearances on releases by Gorillaz, Raphael Saadiq, SBTRKT and David Sitek's Maximum Balloon. What newcomers will find here is sleek, more outgoing and less coy pop than was previously the case – all those team-up have apparently given Little Dragon the confidence to make merry with more idiosyncratic belts and buckles. Yukimi Nagano's soulful voice is still a monster hook, but it's the songs that really stop you in your tracks. Warm, passionate and off-kilter, Please Turn, When I Go Outand the title track are perfect examples of Little Dragon's knack of turning out r'n'b and glitterball electronica from the darker side of the dancefloor.
