It's officially Christmastime in Music Land, and that means bands and artists will be foisting their Yuletide-inspired tunes on the general public for the next few weeks. Despite their current hiatus, The Killers released Boots, their fifth Christmas single, this week, and Coldplay released Christmas Lights.

, written for US chain store Target. Closer to home, Dublin/Kildare band Funzo release their debut single

This Christmas

on December 10th, with a launch gig at Crawdaddy on the 16th. The song won the Christmas FM song competition in 2009. “The cold weather, decorating the tree, parties, Christmas music and of course, the mushy romantic feelings: it’s all in there!” says songwriter Liam McDermott. All proceeds from the release will go to children’s charity Barnados.
