It’s a welcome return to the club listings for Electric Underground, who take up a monthly pitch at the Pavilion. For their debut outing on Carey’s Lane they’ve got Luke Slater in the frame, a man who has been making innovative techno and electronic music for the past 20 years.

Along the way Slater has notched up impressive releases for labels such as Peacefrog and NovaMute, and operated under such names as 7th Plain and Clementine. He has also provided state- of-the-techno-art remixes for Depeche Mode, James Ruskin and Soul Designer.

These days he operates largely as Planetary Assault Systems (check out last year's Temporary Suspensionalbum), takes care of business at the Mote-Evolver label and can be found in the DJ booth at new- school techno nights in Nitsa (Barcelona), Berghain (Berlin) and Fabric (London).
