When it comes to forward- thinking bass music, SBTRKT is becoming the leader of the pack. The man known as Aaron Jerome had a bumper 2010 with a string of sonically adventurous cuts (Hide or Seek), while the 2020 EP set a standard for everyone else to match.

Even when in remix mode, SBTRKT finds new ways of progressing, as his tour-de- force remix of These New Puritans' We Want Warshows. Jerome has previous form: he worked with LTJ Bukem and Nitin Sawhney and released the Time to Rearrange album in 2007. But it's his bass sounds that really hits the target. Live, a masked SBTRKT tears things up, aided and abetted by the excellent Sampha on vocals.

Elsewhere in the venue, there’s a live showcase from Dublin Tropikal on the Stage and Gamepak return to the Mezz with their Segas, Ataris and Gameboys.
